COPA DO MUNDO - JOGA BONITO!

JOGA BONITO!!!
In & Out of the field!!!

And, this my friends, is how we celebrate.... Music, beautiful people, and Samba.... I forgot! And lots of Caipirinha..

YES!!! The REAL World Cup has arrived!
And, I can't believe I'm stuck here.
Last night, I turned the TV to ESPN2 waiting for the "opening Ceremony" and .... nothing. Unbelievable!

Why nobody cares about Futebol and its opening ceremony????

I looked up on the internet and I saw at FoxSports that they said:
"The opening ceremony of the World Cup will have its dramatic moments - just not on the scale of the Olympics".
You see, the world cup compared to Olympics, AND, my friends, here in the US, we missed it. Unbelievable...

Look some of the things we missed:
- Pele presented at the opening ceremony; it looks like Maradona was also invited but he was "too busy..." - who cares...
- Pele brought the World Cup trophy on to the pitch of the Munich stadium with German supermodel Claudia Schiffer; now you whished you were watching....
- There were about 170 former world champions,
- The Bavarian 'Schuhplattlers' performed their traditional dance - and you missed it

In conclusion: Watch this and turn the volume ON!
Joga Bonito!

"For those of you who wanna know what we are all about"

I first heard this song this past weekend watching NBA. Yes! I do like watching those "big men" and "some tiny ones" all sweat grabbing each other for the sake of running after a ball and throwing it into a basket. And, I can get to scream "DEFENSE" very laud and be considered normal.

Anyhow, I loved this music so much that I not only downloaded it on my Ipod but also downloaded other songs from this "Fort Minor" guy. In fact, I got so motivated with his music that I wanted to hear it all before my races.
In fact, from now on, this is my song!!! Well...if you're a Bella, I will share it with you :)

The song, by Fort Minor, goes like this:

"You're ready??? Let's go! Ya!
For those of you who wanna know what we are all about..
Is like this yo ...
10% Luck
20% Skill
15% Concentrated Power of Will
5% Pleasure
50% Pain
100% Reason to remember the name
...
He's not your every day men on the block"

Cool ah?! Very motivated. But 50% PAIN?!?! That's a lot of pain!

And then, I heard another song from this rich and famous "Fort Minor".
"Where'd you go" by Fort Minor (again)
This time, the song goes like this:

"Some days I feel like S&^%
Some days I wana quit
and just be normal for a bit"

Come on!!!! You're not helping me here...

Best School for Surfers!

Ok. When I heard that my husband received a Ticket in Half Moon Bay, where he went surfing, for making a right turn on 8 miles an hour instead of 5 miles, Seriously~, I was in shock. Wouldn't ya? Surfers!! Come on. They barelly think fast how can they drive fast? Don't get me wrong but don't these cops have something better to do like: go after those drivers who are seriouly putting others in danger????

Anyhow, we later learned that they fine would be about $300..no joke.
Then, after he been at the court, he learned that they changed his appearance date; not once, not twice, but 3 times.

So, after talking to a friend, we learned that we could go to a traffic school. My first thought was: Do surfers go to shcool??? My second thought was: Thank God my husband will not read my Bolg... My next thought was: As Brazilians, this doesn't sound like something anyone would like to do. Traffic school in Brazil means you will be sent to the middle of nowhere, on hours that you cannot go, and wait for long long long hours just to learn that it is now late and you need to come back next day.

Well, here in the US things are different; very different. One can take traffic school ONLINE ??!!! My last thought was: This is the best school for surfers!!! That might be exiciting.... So there we went to our computer.

See: Traffic School Online

And about two hours later.....we not only finished the test, paid for it and for the delivery, but we also learned great things about Speed Racer!!!
